A great steam Gala and more.

I must firstly apologise for the out of order blog, as you can imagine the last few days have been rather hectic ......

I will start with a burst from last Wednesday, as always many thanks to Gerry for the photos.

Phil is about to change a filter ......

Rod is moving a floor panel to gain access to a doorfit.

Rex is finishing an overhead weld around a door frame.

Bryan cleaning around a window frame.

A bit of industrial vacuum cleaning.

Colin always ready with a smile.

Bob is preparing the removal of the north end on 13326, it will have new buffer plate, crash pillars and skin panels.

Looks like a discussion in the carpenters shop.

Ken is using the gas axe to cut up an old buffer beam, we will of course remove anything which can be re-used.

Thursday was a blur, and then it all started on Friday and the Steam Gala.  I will show a number of images without explanation  ...... here goes.

This was quite early in the day, and already plenty of visitors.

Its always nice to see retired volunteers, Ed was our carpentry team leader. Someone tried to stop him getting out by scotching his buggy.

Pam feeding two very attentive doggy visitors.

Being Saturday, work still carried on  ..... the workshop being closed to visitors.

Pug was a very popular guest locomotive.

With each train arrival, Winchcombe platform became very busy.

Our freight train was extremely popular, with guards van rides sold out.

With so many photos to choose from it is always difficult, but I hope you like my choice. It remains to thank everyone who came to see us, and also the dedicated teams which made it all happen. I am sure we all enjoyed the experience.
See you all at the next one.
