Monday 15th - The Monday After

This was the view of the car park on Saturday afternoon at the Steam Gala, so we knew we would be busy today. We were!

Reports from volunteers who attended over the weekend said it seemed very busy, so that is good. Certainly was when we went as visitors on Saturday.

So not many pictures today as I started off with Paul and Tim washing rakes 1 and 2, then went into rake 2 to do a bit with the Ghostbuster in there. Rich had used the Ghostbuster in rake 1 and part of 2, but then it was time to start off to Devon on holiday!

Stewart from C & W was here today, to meet the gas inspector lady (rake 1 had passed by the time we left) but this morning he was roped in to doing an emergency sliding window repair. They are his hands you can see, with Paul assisting outside.

Busy inside the rakes were Kath, John, Greg and Nigel.

Nice to see a sparkling clean rake when we left (we didn't know then we would be stuck for half an hour following a steam traction engine towing 2 caravans on the way home!)
