Wednesday 15th - Just another day

It is half term, so due to this and illness we were somewhat depleted in numbers today.

Ken continues with the corridor connectors on 13326 ......

..... it always involves much footwork between the bench and the construction area.

It was great to have the chuckle brothers back together, although it usually comes with a certain amount of sarcasm which always bring a chuckle.

The first welding job of the day, although Rex was unwell he telephoned a request to have two brackets welded for the under frames on Rbr 1675. So I obliged.

Steve is busy making steel plates and brackets for the South end of 13326.

Ben is making some adjustments to 16221 Charlotte/Abigail. A door closing fault was reported for the winter maintenance schedule.

..... more of the Colin .....

...... who loves having his photo taken

....... and Geoff, both are seen here in the much improving saloon of 1675.

Another phone request from Rex ...... a good solid metal plate, to become a jig platform for the yet to be built battery carrier for 1675. Each tray will have to be exact.

Still with activity on 1675, Trevor is fettling a door closure.

In the kitchen on 1675 Ian has identified a small job, this radiused corner will need to be squared off.
This is because the wipe clean surface material will not bend around such a tight radius, a few wood formers should do the trick.

Phil is cleaning up a vent mounting plate for 1675.

David is working on interior panelling for 1675 ......

Having cleaned up, Phil is now assembling the extractor vent.

Gerry and windows get on very well together, he assured me this is getting towards the last one for 1675.

Whenever I go in the Upholstery shop they are always working ..... Eve .....

...... John .......

.... and Jenny.

A walk to the barn and 13337 is in the air with bogies removed .....

I have to admit this was the following morning, making my way to see Richard in the Coffee Pot Cafe and I thought that's quiet ...... no rolling stock or staff.

Many thanks to Gerry for the photos.

See you next week.
