Monday 9th - Fly Swatting
9 of us for cleaning today, holidays and illness still holding the numbers down. Once upon a time 9 would have been a good turnout but we are getting used to more numbers so we can do more! Now it is October the DMU is getting a lot of use, so it was both rakes cleaned internally and outside wash, then down the yard to clean inside the DMU.
The local fly population have decided as it is not used a lot, this is an ideal place to set up home. They had a rude awakening today - they are no match for the Ghostbuster in fly swatting mode! I counted 29 in this carriage alone.
The rakes were swapped round so the Malvern side of rake 2 got a wash and the Cotswold side of rake 1.
No photos of the workers this week - too much to do! (My fellow bloggers will understand). But they were:-
John, Kath, Nigel, Paul, Peter, Roger C, Tim, Val and self.
And a pic of rake 2 to finish
