We grabbed the best weather day this week and mobbed the container roof repair, amazing progress. That's me welding support brackets to the four corners.
Bryan was in charge of the job, he gets paid more for that. The whole thing is his design, with ideas thrown in by everyone else, mostly dismissed by Bryan.
The frame is up and the first sheet is being anchored, all of the metal was begged and borrowed.
Rex enjoying the sunshine, while everybody else fetched and carried.....
16221 in the barn, Ken is fitting the corridor connector to the new wood sections.
34929 Craig is seen here checking the door fit and clearance, a difficult job as there is no room for error.
This is door 2 I think from 1808 in the paint shop, the tin worm has been at it. Ken has done a brilliant job in welding in patches, one on the hinge side and the other around the lock assembly.
16221 Alan and Tony 'The Experts on the job' are making and fitting new window surrounds.
Again 16221, Phil is inspecting and refurbishing all the heaters, as you can see we are moving ahead with this project.
Dave Hancox is getting together many parts for 16221, eventually this giant Meccano set will be back together.
So all in all a very busy and successful day, I will revert to Wednesday's blog next week.
