Wednesday 31st - Another day at 'T mill

With every intention of getting on top of several problems, time is never enough.

The woodwork team are making great progress in 1675, here Simon is re-instating a bulkhead. It all has to be panelled with plywood before the kitchen surfaces go in.

Working inside 1675 gives some good opportunities to team watch, Ian, Bryan and Derek are discussing ......

Gerry does an amazing amount of prep before I move in and weld, this doorframe is one of those which put up a fight. Its looking good now though.

The door hinge mounts have also been a little awkward, but a new idea is working well and providing an effective anchor point.

This area of composite panels also came under scrutiny and was deemed below our standard .......

The new panel is carefully placed and then using 5mm bolts to temporarily hold it in position, before welding.

Inside Geoff is shaping the parts for a window frame.

Tony and son Bob working on window frames.

A new frame for window frames , Derek is surveying......

Bob is on his way to the Barn to paint the roof of FK 13326 and stops by to chat with Bryan.

More of the 'A' team and those window frame parts.

After the welding Ainsley moved in to drill and tap for the door hinges, he is delighted with the result.

And there is the new frame being pressed into service, it is now a much tidier and user friendly area.

A very busy time .....

Bryan's speciality is removing stubborn screws, amongst many other talents.

I lastly managed a quick visit to Upholstery, to see Jenny and Laura working on another seat for 'The Forest of Dean Railway ..... they look fantastic.
I must pay them a visit and try these seats out.

As always many thanks to Gerry for the photos.
