Monday 12th - A bit different.

So the first thing that was different was - it was hot! Several entries for the "knobbly knees" competition!

The second was no sign of Paul washing a train when I arrived. Turned out he was wearing his other hat of Gas Bottle Changer with another volunteer from Broadway. My photo of him at work was a complete dud, so moving swiftly on.

I had better mention here there were 11 of us today, why you will see later. As John Mc (Team Leader) is on holiday it fell to me to take on that role. ie. Toilet Cleaner. But I did make this an opportunity to picture some of the team at work.

First up is Nigel

Then Rich with the Ghostbuster

Greg

Then one of the differences - a new team member, Peter. Completed his induction last Saturday and here already. That's him in the hi vis in the foreground, along with Lawrie and David. And right in the background Paul who has finished with the Gas Hat and back to Cleaning Hat.

And then the ladies, Jane

and Kath

And then another difference. You may have seen Pat in C & W painting last Saturday. He comes for the week occasionally, so today joined is on cleaning. Extra hands always welcome.

As for me I checked the toilets and cleaned as necessary and then got the mop out in the maroon set. Judging by the debris in the carriages today passenger numbers over the last week should have been at least reasonable.

A ride home with 28°C showing on the car thermometer all the way.
