Monday 18th - Rake 1 and DMU

This week we were up to 9 volunteers and as there is only rake 1 in the platform at Toddington six started on that and three of us went on the cross country walk to the DMU.

Paul, Roger O (back from last week's jolly on the Routemaster), and Phil were the first team in action starting at the south end. Inside were Nigel P, Greg and Mark.

Kath, John and myself took the Walk, but the trolley you see here was appropriated to carry all the kit. Progress!

Here are John and Kath on windows - I had the Ghostbuster vacuum.

Then after the toilets multi-tasking John was on mopping.

Finishing the DMU was perfect timing for Tea Break, then after that it was in to Rake 1 to help finish that off. We visited on Saturday and the trains were busy, which is excellent news, but we do notice come Mondays! So here is Nigel P in "Mary". Being the best carriage on the train and next to the Buffet Car it needs a good clean each week - our vac battery cleaners are a big help here, as well as lots of old-fashioned effort being needed.

As we started the Pway train was just setting off with more rail to deliver.
