Monday 12th - Good News and Bad News

 

First of all, the Bad News. Only 6 for Carriage Cleaning today. Here you see Roger O and Paul at work. Greg was inside and Phil, Kath and yours truly were also there.

But the Good News (for the cleaners) due to permanent way having a track possession to attend to a point at the north end of the station, this was the only rake to be cleaned today. The other one was shunted away in to the distance.

Next week is the Big Shunt, when we can at last move from Covid trains to "normal" ones, so no cleaning at all next week. (Don't worry, C & W have already made them spotless at Winchcombe). Some of these maroon ones will be in the re-formed rakes so you can see it will be a mega shunt!
