Wednesday 9th July ' Just a few '

The makings of a very hot day, with the weedkiller wagon outside a small band made a start on the door frames and steps,

Bob is working on anchoring the floorboards  ......

...... Meanwhile Rex worked with Bryan, working out the new door frames and ladder/handrail fixings.

Here they are cutting suitable lengths of angle for the door frame uprights.

...... After many attempts, it was decided the plasma cutter has finally given up ...... a new machine seems the only answer. To be fair they can save a fortune in cutting discs.

Other work involved, a couple of patches on 4798, Gerry made them and I welded them in place.

Rod was working on the same vehicle fitting window surrounds.

Ken working on corridor connectors .....

Bob making parts for the weedkiller wagon ( VAN WIDE)

Another outside job which keeps giving, we use a water tank at Winchcombe for steam galas, It is old and is showing its age and after much plating which has helped, it still delivers pin holes. Maybe a plastic tank would be the answer eventually. Once again Gerry prepped it ready for welding.

Richards 1 & 2 were very busy moving on with fitting up RBr 1675 ........

Up in upholstery, Chris is using the over locker for the DFR contract .....

...... Ceri is sewing together pieces of moquette for the seat backs for DFR .......

....... Laura is cutting out a new design for cushions, which will eventually be for sale ......

....... Eve is finishing the first cushion in the new design, they don't let the grass grow.

Laura and Ceri are starting work on a new outside contract seat set.

Gerry was away last week in Italy, he has supplied a few pics entitled Italy C&W .....

Many thanks to Gerry and Eve for the photos.
