Saturday 7th - Another Storm

Another week, another storm, storm Darragh this time. Thankfully we were not in a red zone so we could carry on with our Santa trains, other railways were not so lucky. There were a few concessions though, we all trooped up to the griddle just before the first train steamed in but that was out, a disappointing trudge back.

3850 runs round her train after first arrival, another blogger gets a different angle on the left!

Slightly depleted numbers today, but we still made good progress. Phil got all the electrical connections on the ends of the FK sorted.

Hey, what's this, a mothers' meeting? Caught in the act, get back to work!

Back to it they went, still a fair few bits of trim and bits inside both end vestibules. I spent the day on some painting on the Malvern side to move things forward too, still a fair bit to go to get this one done in time.

Up to see what's going on in upholstery, to see a big pile of cushions and bags stacked up. Christmas orders?...

Laura shows me the chairs she's working on today, another contract job.

Kevin was busy sorting various bits out in the workshop, spanners being labelled up here,.

John was working on these metal plates that fasten seats to the floor.

Stuart discusses with James the next steps on welding up the South end of 4798.

Clive and Ian were wrestling with vacuum brake system bits underneath 25488 today.

Stuart services one of the liberated DA valves.

Quite wisely Paul decided to stay inside today. The windows on the RBr had all sorts of labelling no longer required now everything's been fitted, so today seemed a good day to have a go at that.
