Monday 13th - Photo Mad!

I am aware that some weeks there are very few photos in the Cleaning Blog. This week was a chance to change that as the work load was much lighter. For the reason read on!

Only rake 1, and that in Platform 2.

It was weedkilling time again, so the through road was cleared for the weedkilling train. As it turned it was a non-event, possibly because it was too windy. The DMU is out of action for a couple of months, no need to go down there. So there were 16 of us for 1 train! Hence I took the chance to take photos.

First up is Long Tall Steve. After this he did parts of the outside of the waiting room on platform 2 which he can reach.

Walking up the train I found Val hard at work.

Next up were Lynn, John, Kath and Greg, snapped having a quick natter!

Next was Nick

And then Nigel (Jane's head just appearing over the seat at the end)

Walking back the other way, but outside, first was Paul. With the train moved down this was the first chance to clean this side for a month. It was hard work!

Further down was David, Roger C, Tim and Peter

While they had been having a clear out another department found an (unused) brush with extendable handle. Could we find a use for it? Yes, please! Here Tim is able to clean the south end carriage from trackside.

While down this end I checked the carriage we polished at the beginning of October last year - not looking bad at all.

I did some cleaning - honest! Prize catch today were these:

At this point I met Ghostbuster Rich, by now down on his knees

So that was it for this week. A cancelled weedkilling train is often scheduled for the next week, if the weather is suitable. So place your bets for 1 rake or 2, or if only 1, which one?
