Wednesday 22nd - Down came the rain
Fortunately we finished the water tank welding last week, if we had left it, it would not have been done. We have plenty to do in the dry, so here goes ......
In the barn we have a new ... to us.... long term loan BCK 21272 having some TLC from Laura and Eve.
Laura is doing repairs to the seat upholstery.
......In the workshop one of the welding machines was not cooperating, happily it is under a lengthy warranty.
Work on 13326 is gathering pace, Trevor is fitting door closure liners ......
..... and its all coming together nicely.
On the Malvern side we attacked door number 5, here Rod is clamping the door in the exact position. We then clamped the Z section in place and tack welded, although it's not quite finished it will be by close of play on Saturday.
In the paint shop 1675 is still in residence, with Geoff working on panelling ......
...... and Colin in the woodwork shop, making the parts.
Moving about, Bob is painting his gas locker door creation for 1675.
.... here he is again fettling the generator mount.
Bob and Rex in discussion about the generator.
Alan came in today to carry on with 4798 and the North end, the plan being it will be back together at the w/end.
Inside the North end, Simon is removing all non reusable wood ready for a new vestibule floor. Surprisingly it's in pretty good shape and will not need any extra bracing.
Alex on a Wednesday? It is adding his magic touches to 1675.
Phil and Rex I imagine working on the battery pack locker.
Dave with 1675, he is always busy with preparation and painting.
Simon with the MICA Van, he does like that multi tool.
Finally Ken advancing the endology on 13326, there is a bit more welding to do to finish the South end, maybe next week.
Its the Gala this w/end, see you all there.
Many thanks to Eve and Gerry for the photos.
The note stuck to 1675s emergency door carries a sense of exasperation about it! And that upholstery in 21272 is really sumptuous
