Tuesday 5th - Mainly 1675

 Apologies for the late posting. My wifi has packed up, so this has been done on my phone. Not so easy and more time consuming, but I don't want Tuesday's photos to go to waste. Hopefully not to many typos!

Wow, a nice day! Sunshine and calm. Wonderful!

Richard II came in to work on a trial fitting of the second and larger of the two skids for 1675's kitchen. This is for the pantry and includes the pump, filter and water sterilizer. The smaller skid is for the kitchen.

The trial fit completed. Obviously all the plumbing has to be done, but the new arrangement can clearly be seen. It will all be taken out so that painting can be completed.

On to 1675 itself. Ainsley worked on the door out of the counter area, while Robert concentrated on the door frame and surrounding internal area.

Being 1675 it was more filling and sanding with Ian and Stu working on the Cotswold side.

Phil was doing the same on the Malvern side

Roger concentrated on the south end connection, initially removing all the accumulated dust.

Returning a bit later to find he was well into undercoating in dark grey.

It's beginning to look good!

Inside the kitchen/pantry/counter area Richard continued the ceiling undercoating, leaving out the panel that needs to be replaced where the ply is delaminating. 

Ainsley completed vacuuming the floor throughout the south half of the coach. A good job done and what a difference!

Returning to Stu, all the freshly filled areas had been sanded and coated in green primer.

On the Malvern side Phil was similarly finishing off his work, which included more filling of the window frame and doorway capping strip rivets. 

Well done Roger, that's the south connection undercoating completed.

Keith completed a number of items on the painting trestles ............

....... and then primed the new Tig welder trolley in red oxide.

Alan using Stu T's excellent tungsten carbide scraper to remove the old paint off the base of the vacuum cylinder. Andy T. had worked on the side on Saturday.

Dave H. made the most of the good day and began tidying up another of our storage vehicles. Walking round the nearby (south) yard, it's good to see the overall improvement all his efforts have made. Obviously some vehicles would need far more than a coat of paint, but the tidied up ones help a lot.

The shadows lengthen towards the end of a really productive and satisfying day.

Well that turned out to be a lot easier than expected. Maybe I will do more postings using my phone.
