Wednesday 16th - 10,000 steps

My Fitbit registered 10,000 steps, this is fairly easy to do when working between the barn and the workbenches. That is not just me doing all the steps, the whole team do at least that many .... well it keeps you fit.

Maybe not so many steps done by the upholstery team, but with nimble fingers they do as much as anybody ..... seen here continuing with the 'Bubble Car' seat set.

Stephen working on another seat for Rbr 1675.

This is how they will look, I would point out this one is not finished yet.

I do like to include our carpenters, they are a great team and work very hard.

Robert posed nicely for this one.

Colin, away from the workshop has placed some new bespoke sections ready for fitment and an instruction that these parts must not be touched or removed.

Phil S. is removing a stubborn part from a carriage heater. Messrs Oxy and Acetylene were not required this time.

I came across Dave H. in the corridor of 16221 doing some fiddly work on the door sliding gear of one of the compartments.

In the barn John and Gerry were applying the finishing touches to the new oil bund cage .....

After lunch they disappeared, I wrongly thought they had gone home. They prepared the area for the bund and wheel barrowed the sand in ready for concrete slabs next week. Another job nearly done.

The other big job of the day was to make mountings and fit 2 new water heaters in the kitchen of Rbr1672. A bit of a challenge, but we now have one in place followed closely by the second one. This will be in and finished next week. This is where all the steps come in commuting between the carriage and the bench. We must be supremely fit.

That's it for this Wednesday, look out for next week's updates.
