Thursday 3rd - Just a short post

Apologies for the somewhat short posting. A number of our staff are away and I had some essential things to get done before being away myself next week. Gerry is on holiday for two weeks hence no Wednesday photos either this week or next. Alex is also away so nothing for Saturday either. However Roger will probably be doing a Monday post and something else might appear next week though not GlosWarks related.

[Update from Roger - he is also away next week]

[Photo : Paul W]  Geoff is repairing some panelling inside one of CK 16195's first class compartments, while below just ahead of him Paul is cleaning. The coach is one of those used for Rake 4.

The remaining photos are of SK 25451 in the Paintshop.

On Wednesday Ainsley and Dave E. completed the sanding on the south half of the Cotswold side and greyed this up. I followed this today with some secondary filling and a lot more sanding of existing filler. However I missed Martin filling and sanding, and making a start on some further greying up.

The extended pipes make vacuuming the sanding dust very much easier, especially round the tops of the window frames.

Then a wipeover with thinners and rangs..

Graham then got going with the light grey undercoat and soon had the north half covered.

Thank you for the enquiry about Pam. She is ok and will be back.

  1. Pam has certainly been missed; good to hear that she is OK.
