Monday 14th - Plan B and a Miniature Tube Train ride

Plan A = weed killing train so only 1 set to clean, and that will be rake 1 in platform 2, so we could wash the Cotswold side. Also pulled down so we could include carriage "A". Weed killer cancelled (rain forecast?) so what we got was Plan B:-

So we could wash "A", but Malvern side of rake 1 and Cotswold of rake 2.

Bit of a challenge on p2 for Paul, Tim and Lawrie

This was because the wall holding the reel was

Gone! (It was on the side away from the platform)

Somebody had a dog in this compartment

Beavering away inside were Greg, Jane, John, Kath, Nigel and Rich.

Here we have Lynne, a recent recruit

And here Nick, on a "taster" but official after he has been to the induction on Saturday.

And to add further variety, Will and Oskar from our First Responders came to check and replenish the First Aid kits on the trains (there are 2 on each rake. One in the Guards compartments and one in the kitchen areas)

It was another Teddy Bear Thursday last week. Big Ted looking a bit unhappy. Last week he was secondman in the DMU, but the driver complained he was getting in the way so he was replaced by a smaller colleague!

Now back 10 days. A trip to the Postal Museum in London. Excellent venue, and surprisingly off the beaten track although still in central London.  A couple of clips showing the ride. You stop along the way at "stations" for a video display on the wall opposite. About a 15 minute ride. The main museum is also interesting.

And here is the train.
