Monday 7th - Another Sunny Day

Been lovely weather for about a fortnight, how long can it last?

So a bit of a late start for us (old age, roadworks...)

We had rake 1 in P2 and rake 2 in P1, both pulled down so that we could wash the outsides of carriage "A".

Here is one of life's little gems! Kath is explaining to Greg and Lynn that you don't have to scrape the GTech cylinder out, it pulls out and then there is a slider to empty it. Add to that you don't need to push the dirt through the "letterbox" - the bin lid lifts up! A good laugh was had by all!

The washing team were very pleased to be able to clean this side of this carriage. Tim, Paul and David. Peter, who is usually in this team, was back to the vets with his dog. Cleaning volunteers are definitely having (expensive) doggy troubles this year.

The rest of the team today was:- Jane, John M, John S, Nick, Nigel and Steve.

And I was walking back down P2, past a tree I have seen hundreds of times before, and suddenly noticed how interesting and unusual it was. Perhaps I was lucky with the light.
