Monday 8th - Normal Vision Has Been Resumed

Apologies for the lack of Cleaning Team blogs, unexpected problem! Having worn glasses for about 65 years I am use to vision changing slightly over time. However in March my sight went from fine to difficult to drive in the space of 5 days. A new set of specs fixed the problem and happily they worked "straight out of the box" (varifocals can be tricky). First trip was to the garden centre for plants to replace the patch I had decimated whilst stuck at home!

So there was no cleaning on 11th March as contractors were in for the Race Trains and none last week as trains were running on Easter Monday. Rake 1 did get a trip to Winchcombe on Thursday so Paul and Dennis were able to do some much needed tidying - thanks guys.

So back to work - and of course the first thing I see is Tim, Paul and Peter washing the outside of rake 1.

I took a Ghostbuster in to rake 2 and found Steve cleaning windows.

This was the first time this year we had had rake 2 available for cleaning. Fly swatting in one of the loos was needed by Nigel and myself!

In fact we had 16 in today! The full list was David, Greg, Jane, John, Kath, Lyn, Nick, Nigel, Paul, Peter, Rich, self, Roger C, Steve, Tim and Val.

Out in the yard on the loading rails were 3 goods wagons. Being loaded up with material to go up to Broadway for platform 2.
