Monday 6th - The Hooton Trolley

Remember us - the Carriage Cleaning Team? Start of a new season and everyone keen to be back - and also only Tim on holiday! Just rake 1 and the DMU today, but the main event was for Paul to fix the plaque to the trolley, sign written for us by Pam from C & W (and thanks to others in C & W who also organised the wood and the template). So here we are (before Mark joined us after his regular medical appointment):-

(l to r)

myself, John, Kath, Rich, Jane, David, Paul, Roger O, Greg, Nigel. Peter the gardener took the photo for us. All well wrapped up!

Phil Hooton was a very popular member of the cleaning team who sadly passed away suddenly last autumn, and is much missed. He had a great sense of humour and I'm sure he would much enjoy this tribute.

All lent a hand to clean rake 1 inside and wash the outside and then a few went down to the DMU to give that a tidy.

And just for fun, a view from the DMU down the siding - you can see we are right down the end - a long walk!
