Tuesday 28th - Quiet but productive

"Good afternoon!" was the greeting I got from the gang already hard at work on the Toad when I arrived at a little before 9am! Very much the early starters, Stu:

And Paul:


were all hard at work with the paint brushes variously on undercoat and topcoat.

Richard took a couple of end of day pics to show the Malvern side now in topcoat and the Cotswold side all in undercoat.


Nearly time to get the signwriting brushes out again.

My focus today was the bubblecar, as our deadline is looming, and there's a lot of varnishing to do. First though, the last little bit of lettering, the data panel:


Richard caught me mid way through:


by the end of the day the Malvern side had received its first coat of varnish.

Keith later joined me on the bubble car giving a coat of red to the bufferbeam:


Initially starting off with some sanding and varnishing of various wooden bits and pieces for both 24006 and 16221:


Speaking of various bits, Dave was up and down the yard between his coach and our spares stores sorting out the next load of stuff needed, captured by Richard:



Meanwhile another container arrived today, I think these are all for S&T, lineside clearance and RCS storage:
